Calum is an experienced general dentist who will make you feel relaxed and comfortable. He will take time to listen to your concerns and desires before carefully explaining all the options modern dentistry has to offer. A caring and gentle manner, along with a sense of humour, ensures you can make the best choices for you and receive the treatment you want and need… however dentally anxious you may be!

Calum grew up in Clevedon, near Bristol. He qualified from Leeds University in 2015, with merit, before moving back to the South West for dental foundation training. After a year working in Axminster, Calum joined Wellington Dental Practice in September 2016.

General practice provides a somewhat unique and special opportunity to build great, long-lasting relationships with your patients. This is something Calum relishes and enjoys, along with treating whole families, sometimes across many generations.

Training with Barry Oulton has taught Calum the Comfortable Dental Injection Technique (CDIT), which he now uses routinely to ensure his dentistry is as comfortable as possible for you.

Calum is currently completing a Level 7 Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry at the Advanced Centre of Excellence (ACE) in London. He hopes to complete the diploma in 2024.

Calum has a particular interest in aesthetic work and smile improvements.

Calum is a trained Invisalign Go provider and has completed further training with Tif Qureshi at the IAS academy on using orthodontics in combination with composite bonding. Being able to offer tooth alignment options as a standalone treatment or as part of a greater smile improvement plan is particularly exciting!

Adhesive dentistry and working with composite (white filling material) are also areas Calum is passionate about. Further training at the prestigious TAHA Academy has enhanced Calum’s knowledge and skill in this area. Having completed courses on both back teeth and front teeth, he is now a TAHA Certified Gold and Diamond Clinician.

A course on restoration of implants, has also given Calum the skills required to restore implants.

Outside of work, Calum is very interested in his fitness. He works hard in the gym, completing 3-4 early morning gym sessions per week. Calum sees fitness more as a way of life which helps to keep both mind and body in shape! He also loves extreme sports; kitesurfing at Exmouth beach with friends and also skiing every winter. Other interests include playing and listening to music along with socialising and meeting new people.

Calum strives to provide an outstanding level of care and attention to all his patients and will always do his best for you, to achieve the best result possible. Overall, Calum believes that a highly personalised patient journey is the key to success. Providing positive experiences and outcomes, all tailored to your individual goals and desires.
