When is periodontal treatment needed?

Periodontal disease is a chronic bacterial infection that affects the gums and supporting structures of the teeth. If left untreated, it can lead to bleeding, swollen gums, persistent bad breath, and even tooth loss. Our expert care is designed to stop the progression of gum disease, reduce inflammation, and protect the underlying bone and structures that support your teeth.

The benefits of effective treatment are significant, including fresher breath, reduced inflammation and bleeding, and improved gum support, all of which lower your risk of tooth loss.

What does the treatment involve?

Our approach to periodontal treatment is a comprehensive process that begins with a thorough gum health assessment. Depending on the diagnosis, we offer a range of evidence-based treatments, from deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) to regenerative procedures.

Throughout your treatment, our skilled team always uses the latest diagnostic tools and gentle techniques to ensure you are comfortable. We also provide you with tailored oral hygiene advice and recommend regular maintenance appointments to help you protect your long-term gum health.
