Andy is passionate about dentistry. He constantly strives to provide the best care and treatment for his patients. Andy’s main areas of interest are aesthetic dentistry and implant dentistry. He is highly skilled at managing nervous patients and can provide intravenous sedation for implant and oral surgery cases to allow the most nervous patients achieve their dental needs and desires.
Andy started his dental career at the Royal London Hospital where he achieved outstanding results with distinctions in Oral Surgery and Restorative Dentistry. After leaving Dental school Andy was awarded a place as a house officer in the prestigious Royal London Hospital Maxillofacial Department, where he was quickly promoted to senior house officer.
Andy left the hospital service and started working in general dental practice, but returned to maxillofacial surgery after two years. Andy stayed working and training in surgery for the following nine years. He worked in a number of prestigious departments culminating in a move with his wife to Taunton. Along the way Andy gained membership to the Royal College of Surgeons of England and underwent extensive training in Oral Surgery which he now uses to provide care to his patients at Wellington Dental Practice.
Andy finally left the hospital service in 2011 and started working at Wellington Dental Practice. He has not stopped training though.
With encouragement, support and investment by the practice owner Dr Barry Kasai in the latest cutting-edge technology such as 3D CBCT , TRIOS 3D digital scanner and all the necessary equipment and support staff to place Straumann implants, Andy continues to stay at the cutting edge of implant, aesthetic and sedation dentistry. Andy has undergone extensive training by some of the world leaders in Implant dentists and is firmly committed to education. Through his extensive training he has introduced several cutting edge techniques to his practice which he now uses routinely.
Andy is committed to the importance of multidisciplinary approach when it comes to managing his patients needs and regularly meets with colleagues at Wellington Dental practice to discuss and plan treatments, ensuring that each patient gets the best care
Andy became a member of The International Team of Implantology in 2014 and The Society for Advanced Anaesthesia and Sedation in 2011.
